Item Description

Sparkling, navy-blue to royal-blue, bladed botryoids of azurite very richly and attractively cover the contrasting, crenellated gossan matrix of this very fine old-timer from Chessy, France. The bit of malachite is a nice accent. The ancient Chessy mines were closed by the end of the 19th century and this is an outstanding example of a classic form and species. Comes with an old, faded label in German. Ex Emmerich Collection.
