Item Description

A very attractive full sized miniature display specimen of Azurite from the famous contemporary locality at the Milpillas Mine. This piece features FINE quality, sharp, incredibly lustrous, deep blue, stepped crystal group of Azurite with the largest group measuring up to a full 3.5 cm sitting on a beautiful contrasting snow white matrix forming a really eye-catching specimen. The Azurite crystals are slightly gemmy near the edges when backlit. The main crystal group on the front of the piece has a slight imperfect on the left corner, but otherwise the piece is in great shape and very attractive in person. A couple of the secondary crystals have minor imperfections, but again, the quality is outstanding. I love the fact that the specimen sits on its own and displays beautifully without the aid of a base or clay! The piece was priced in the inventory at $2,500. Great quality overall, and this material will only increase in value as the years go by, especially now that we're told the locality is possibly finished producing this material. It's some of the best crystallized Azurite to come out of any locality in decades.
