Item Description

Azurite and Malachite is one of the classic combinations in the mineral world, and beloved by collectors. The pieces from the Liufengshan Mine have been around for about 15+ years, and they remain some of the most beautiful and fine quality examples of Azurite with Malachite ever seen from any world locality. They have all the characteristics of the classic associations from Bisbee, Arizona with their intense midnight blue Azurite crystals and gorgeous velvety green Malachite associations. Sure, these are still contemporary pieces, but they surely will go down as classics, as they are some of the most attractive representations of Azurite and Malachite out there. This fine quality full cabinet sized display piece is loaded with sparkling, sharp, brilliant crystals of deep blue Azurite on both sides of the specimen which are associated with lovely, semi-botryoidal groups of mint-green Malachite on minor oxidized matrix. It's uncanny how much the piece resembles Bisbee! The piece is in excellent shape overall, as the only roughness is along the outer edges where it was removed from the pocket wall. A very showy, eye-catching and incredibly good quality example of these now beloved specimens. Priced in the inventory at $3,500.
