Azurite with Malachite

There are a lot of localities for Azurite around the world, but Milpillas has given collectors some of the finest quality examples of the species ever seen with some of the sharpest, most lustrous and richly colored (often gemmy) crystals of Azurite from any world locality. These are the best contemporary Azurites out there. Sadly, the oxidized zone is finished, and there will likely never be another crumb of this material to come out of this prolific locality again. With that said, if you're a fan of Azurites or specifically these pieces from Milpillas, don't miss out on this attractive specimen. The piece features excellent quality, very sharp, highly lustrous, intense midnight blue crystals of Azurite which are accented by green Malachite on the bottom. The main Azurite crystal measures 1.5 cm, and is in great shape, but there are a few contacts here and there. The luster is very high for the species and the color combination of the Azurite with the Malachite is a true classic. The crystals honestly look better in person than the photos indicate.
