Item Description
Rosettes and isolated crystals of lustrous navy-blue azurite crystals, to 1.1 cm, are attractively scattered along with contrasting malachite blebs on the sculptural large decomposed limestone matrix. The Hanover #2 Mine is noted for fine azurite specimens, but most are off matrix, making this a very uncommon and excellent large combination example. Valued at $850 by previous owner. This is quite a strange and large matrix piece for this locality
