Item Description

Sharp and beautiful, this cluster of TRANSPARENTLY hexagonal Bastnesite-(Ce) crystals rests safely within a valley of well-formed Dolomite crystals. The burnt-orange color, as well as the luster, are very appealing, giving these 4-6 mm crystals a gorgeous aesthetic. There is even a small, secondary cluster nestled in the Dolomite on the reverse side. The Trimouns Talc Mine is a classic old French locality for rare earth species, and this miniature does the species and the location proud. A great rarity, from a famous extinct locality.
