Item Description

Dramatic, densely intergrown translucent light purple fluorite cubes have striking stepped-growth faces accented by darker violet edge phantoms. The impressive central compound cube on the crest is 3.8 cm across on the top edge. The underlying massive fluorite is gray. This is a fascinating and artistic large bi-colored fluorite from the well-known fluorite deposits at Muzquiz. A classic and excellent style of fluorite from this noted Mexican locale. This surreal piece reminds me of a lithograph from famed graphic artist, M.C. Escher. Ex Lee Burnett Collection of Morrison, Colorado.
