Item Description
Brochantite specimens are RARE from the famous Mammoth-Saint Anthony Mine at Tiger, closed since 1953. Tufts of tiny, gemmy, rich emerald-green acicular crystals richly cover the hefty sculptural small cabinet matrix of massive galena. One end of the piece hosts a classic 3.0 cm cyclically-twinned cerussite crystal, adding even more character to this showy piece. See the 1980 Mineralogical Record article in the Arizona-I Special Issue, Vol. 11, No. 3. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. A rare, rich and showy brochantite combination rarity from Tiger.
