Brookite (gemmy ''phantom'' crystals)

Here we have a pleasing large miniature / small cabinet sized specimen of this wonderful material from the Kharan District of Pakistan. The main focus of the piece is the gorgeous trio of fiery colored Brookite crystals measuring up to 6 mm which are associated with Quartz and aesthetically sitting on matrix. The crystals show classic thin black "phantoms" which run the vertically from the tips to the base. No damage to the Brookites and very attractive up close and in person. In recent years, Pakistan produced some of the finest crystallized Brookites to come out of any locality. These are "Alpine-type" specimen and reminiscent of the famous European Alpine Brookites from various localities in Italy or Switzerland, but are often better in terms of crystal size, color and quality. A beautiful example of this soon to be classic material.
