Item Description

A very attractive and three-dimensional Calcite specimen from the famous Ojuela Mine featuring multiple generations of crystal growth. The earliest generation features a cluster of white stalactites of Calcite at the base, which have been overgrown by sharp, lustrous, bladed, pale golden colored Calcite crystals measuring up to 1.5 cm. There is a final stage of deposition on the piece in the form of semi "nail-head"-shaped crystals flaring off the lower edge. Very good condition all around, and very showy from multiple angles. A very desirable piece for any fan of worldwide Calcites or minerals of Mexico / Ojuela.
