Item Description
From the world-famous and now closed Minerva No. 1 Mine in Southern Illinois, here we have a classic Calcite specimen featuring a group of very sharp, well-formed, narrow, tapered, soft golden colored scalenohedral crystals of Calcite, free of matrix. The crystals show good internal translucency when backlit. Good condition overall, though I can see tiny cleaves on the tips of a couple crystals. As mentioned, this entire area is completely closed down, so you won't see any of these pieces again, so don't miss out on getting them while they're available.
