Item Description
RARE and impressive large older combination material from the famous mines at Santa Eulalia. A striking cluster of glassy, translucent calcite crystals is dramatically set on the large scuptural matrix of RARE pocelaneous, LAVENDER, curved saddle-shaped dolomite rhombs. A pristine, stout, 6.0 cm, doubly terminated and twinned calcite crystal dominates the cluster and strikingly rests against a pair of sharp dogtooth calcites. The field of smaller calcites on the right side, including another 4.0 cm doubly terminated untwinned calcite adds pizzazz and character. Artistic and rare large older Santa Eulalia combination material from the 1960s or 70s from the Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection. Fine and colorful dolomite specimens, such as this, are RARE from Santa Eulalia.
