Item Description

A stunning example of a single calcite crystal, filled with rich and bright inclusions of disseminated copper within. This is a classic of the old historic copper mines in Michigan, generally dating from the 1870s-1940s era of mining in several local mines, notably the Quincy. This single, sharp, lustrous crystal is 1.8 x 1.7 x 1.5 cm, translucent, with easy view of the Copper inclusions. It is unusually bright and shiny, and makes a dramatic crystal for any calcite suite.
