Item Description

Tsumeb is amongst the most prolific of localities in the world, arguably the most significant locality extant, especially from the standpoint of the depth of high quality mineral specimens found there. This excellent large cabinet display specimen is loaded with dozens of HIGHLY lustrous, off-white color, sharp, very well-formed rhombohedra of Calcite measuring up to 2.0 cm which are associated with forest green color “velvety” Malachite. Additionally, some micro emerald green Dioptase and olive green Duftite can be seen on the specimen as well. Excellent condition all around, with the only damage of note being around the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. How often does one encounter such a large, fine quality mineral specimen from the most classic of localities in such amazingly good condition? The piece shows wonderful pink-red fluorescence under UV light as well. Priced at $5,000 in the inventory.
