Item Description
A classic association specimen from the Roncari Quarry in Connecticut featuring well-formed, translucent, off-white colored Calcite crystals measuring up to 3.6 cm across, associated with gemmy green botryoidal and "clamshell"-shaped Prehnite groups, which have formed ''casts'' after preexisting Anhydrite which was dissolved away, leaving thin tabular cavities behind. The Calcite crystals appear to have a very light amount of soft reddish colored iron oxide on select faces, creating a lovely two-tone effect. From the collection of Gerry Morvell (#GM1091A) with a dealer label stating it was formerly in the collection of Al Sebela.
