Item Description

First discovered in Oregon years ago, Cavansite didn't reach the level of world-class minerals until its discovery in India years later. This small cabinet piece, from the famous Wagholi Quarries, is SUPERB. The color is a true blue, and the gemmy, radial blades of Cavansite forms these gorgeous balls up to 1.2 cm across. The four Cavansite balls are distributed nicely across the Stilbite matrix, and the overall aesthetics are outstanding. However, you truly cannot know how great this piece is until you open up the images to see it larger, instead of looking at the thumbnails. In person, you can appreciate not only the pure, rich blue color, but how the gemminess of the Cavansite blades gives each ball a depth and radiance that is understated and sublime. This is old material. it is a bit different than modern material, in saturation and style.
