Item Description

These Celestines from Sakoany stand alone as the finest examples of the species. They might be somewhat common on the market, but like Vanadinite from Mibladen, Morocco or Cavansite from Wagholi, India you can't judge the material based upon its availability. This piece is special for the fact that it is not only fine quality and incredibly aesthetic, but it features a less common tapered habit to the Celestines. I've seen crystals from Sakoany that have a bit more of a gentle tapering, but these crystals have just a bit more to really accentuate their uniqueness. Typically the crystals from this locality are somewhat blocky and often resemble Topaz in habit, but these crystals are incredibly eye-catching and just plain different from what we're used to seeing from Sakoany. This small cabinet display specimen features excellent, GEM quality, razor-sharp, highly lustrous, gorgeous icy blue crystals of Celestine measuring up to 5.3 cm surrounded by smaller Celestines of equal quality on matrix. Top quality, no damage to the major crystals that I can see with the naked eye (it's obviously contacted around the periphery where it was removed from the pocket and later trimmed), and the main crystal just screams for your attention. Priced in the inventory at $2,750.
