Item Description

A superb and aesthetic, trident-shaped, twinned Cerussite crystal from the famous and now-closed Tsumeb Mine - one of the most classic of species from this most classic of historic locations. The sharp, stout, whitish Cerussite blades are translucent to transparent, have a smoky hue and display classic adamantine luster for the species. The V-twin is textbook with the larger component measuring 3 cm in length and the slightly smaller at 2.6 cm. A few smaller, subordinate twins are developed on the larger crystal. The big twin is perfectly situated on a splendid, doubly terminated, 3.2 cm Cerussite crystal. Remarkably, all of the crystals are complete, even on the backside where some remnant, granular sulfide is adhered to the crystals! There are few, barely discernible nicks to the smaller twin component on a rear edge otherwise pristine. Classic, geometric and outstanding. A superb Cerussite miniature ! Valued $1500
