Item Description

Tsumeb is famous for unusual combination pieces and this is a cluster of robust, twinned and single Cerussite crystals from Tsumeb that are accented locally by some minor Malachite. One large, 3 cm, twinned Cerussite dominates the specimen and is accompanied by several other Cerussite crystals from 1 to 2 cm in size. All them have a distinct smoky hue to them along with an adamantine to slightly satin luster. Most are in good shape, however, a few are broken. Several dull green Malachite botryoids from 0.7 to 1.2 cm are strategically placed on and between some of the Cerussite crystals and add some color and contrast to this small cabinet piece from the great Tsumeb Mine.
