Item Description

Sharp, lustrous, dark gray chalcocite crystals are FESTOONED on the front of the CABINET-SIZED specimen of massive chalcopyrite/bornite ore on this fine, old-timer from the famous Cole Shaft at Bisbee. The back of this hefty ore specimen has been sawed and reveals the rich, golden-yellow chalcopyrite and bornite ore. Ex Dave and Emily Stoudt Collection and according to their catalogue and label, was purchased from then Bisbee rock shop owner Chuck Youngblood in 1988.
