Item Description

A wonderful piece from the famed Star of the Congo Mine, featuring a beautiful semi-stalactitic group of deep greenish-blue colored botryoidal Chrysocolla with a "waxy" luster, and no matrix. The underside/back of the piece is contacted, but it allows you to see how the piece grew in layers, as there are different hues of blue and/or green (which are probably Malachite) that can be seen, almost like the rings of a tree. This is classic material and the color is superb for the species.
