Item Description

A very rarely seen specimen of Chrysocolla from Wolsendorf (labeled as coming from "Mine Gewerkschaft", which is not a mine, as it translates roughly to "labor union mine"). Small patches of semi-botyroidal greenish Chrysocolla sit on the Quartz and host rock matrix. If you collect minerals from Wolsendorf, this would make a great addition to a suite of minerals from this locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2148). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
