Citrine on Danburite (rare combo for the locality)

The Danburite crystals from Charcas are the finest examples of the species known. This piece is special because it not only features a good quality Danburite crystal, but it's also studded with several good quality Citrine crystals, an incredibly rare association from this locality. I've only seen a few of these specimens over the years, and this miniature is a great example as it is not only good quality but rather showy. The Citrine crystals measure up to 8 mm and are sharp, lustrous and gemmy, with an attractive golden-yellow hue sitting on a translucent white / colorless Danburite prism with a classic "chisel-shaped" termination. The piece is in good condition overall, though there are a few imperfections - including a nick on the termination of the Danburite. If you collect gem crystals, Mexican minerals or just unusual association specimens, do not miss out on this attractive miniature from this famous locality.
