This isa really unusual specimen that actually has so much going for it in geometry and eye appeal, the rarity of the species is a bonus. Pretty, tiny, lustrous, translucent, tabular Clinoptilolite-Na crystals, a Zeolite Group mineral, are strikingly festooned on the open face of an impressive mounded broken nodule with a dramatic crevasse of coated spherical devitrified quartz balls from glassy rhyolitic volcanics. This highly unusual, exotic and colorful specimen is from a locality best known for Agate Thundereggs. The specimen is illustrated in the MINDAT Photo Gallery for the locale.
