Copper-included Datolite (ex Kay Robertson, Jim Houran Collections)

This is something we have not seen before, a cut and faceted stone from a pure datolite nodule, that was infused with copper - already, a mineralogical rarity. Now, also a gem oddity! This translucent pink, round brilliant gem was custom cut by Tim Condron from a polished nodule out of the Kay Robertson collection (originally handled by us here at the Arkenstone as a rough nodule!). A stunning display piece that would look impressive next to one of the natural nodules. 29.90 carats and unusually uniform in color, this is both pretty and fascinating. We really do not know HOW to value such a unique item.
