Item Description

A very sculpural and aesthetic old-time floater copper specmen from the famous Central Mine. An impressive 8.0 cm flattened copper "leaf" with a rounded tip rests on sharp tetrahexahedral copper crystals. The leaf has nice variable two-sided patina and the scattered holes add pizzazz. The superb sharply crystallized copper crystal is 2.2 cm. The profitable Central, a fissure deposit, produced much silver and was only active from 1854 to 1898. Fairly valued at $1000-1250. The sharp tetrahexahedron and the overall form are the stars of show of this fine classic.
