Copper with Cuprite

This Copper with Cuprite cluster is beautiful and very complexly crystallized with a rich coppery patina that is bright but not "cleaned" or chemically treated. It is a brilliant floater piece with no point of attachment and dominated by Copper with Cuprite crystal accents. It is very three-dimensional and almost arborescent. The piece is dominated by hundreds of aggregated, 1 to 2 mm Copper crystals in a very sculptural shape. There are three areas with a number of deep red, 3 to 5 mm Cuprite crystals that provide great character and contrast. This is an excellent and display worthy Russian Copper specimen! A modern classic. These came out over a decade ago and nothing of this quality has been seen since around 2010. It is a bright, pretty specimen of copper from a rare locale, but the cuprite accent is also important.
