Item Description
Classic, lustrous, translucent, rich reddish-orange crocoite prisms, to 3.0 cm, are dramatically festooned jackstraw-style on the sturdy large blocky gossan matrix. Many of the larger crystals are hollow, a typical crystal habit, that adds much character to the piece. This very showy and highly representative specimen is from the famous Red Lead Mine of Tasmania, purchased circa 1990s. Ex Dr. Vasco Trancoso Collection. Excellent older material. This is a significant older style specimen, and sturdy enough that it can be mailed within the United States , and internationally if by FEDEX and with care (although we would much prefer to arrange hand delivery!).
