Danburite ex Gary Weaver

Here is an excellent, highly lustrous Danburite with an outstanding water-clear chisel termination from the Aurora Mine in Charcas, Mexico. The color is a delicate pale pink and it is obvious throughout this fine crystal. The termination is so good that you can even see the back faces of the crystal's termination through the crystal and there are gemmy areas in places along its length! This robust, 7 cm crystal also has a very nice sidecar crystal in front that measures 4.1 cm in length and it has gemmy areas throughout. There are some internal fractures in both crystals which is typical of these Danburites from the Aurora Mine. This is a very fine small cabinet specimen with razor sharp edges and faces on both crystals. 52.56 grams. A previous dealer label notes $850, and to me that seems low given teh stunning clarity and gemminess here. Easily $800-1200. Ex gary Weaver collection
