Item Description
RARE sawed and polished datolite half nodule from the obscure Mandan Mine of Michigan's famous Copper Country. The nodule has high luster and a nice porcelaneous texture. The translucent grayish-green core is surrounded by the contrasting bone-white rind. The mine closed in 1909 and this nodule obviously came from the dumps. Choice and rare datolite from the Mandan Mine.
