Item Description

An impressive and attractive Mottramite with Calcite specimen from the Pohl collection that is certifiably from Tsumeb!  Many of the Mottramite botryoids (ball shapes) exhibit a dull surface luster while others have a glistening appearance from numerous, tiny crystals that comprise the botryoids. The platy Calcite crystals are prolific on this piece and all of them are lightly included by Hematite that imparts a reddish pink color to the translucent crystals that average 5 mm across. The bottom of the piece reveals that the Mottramite and Calcite are intimately admixed throughout the piece.
