Dioptase on Calcite

A very colorful Tsumeb specimen with a broad swath of flashy, rich emerald green Dioptase crystals running down the middle and bound by bright white Calcite on either side. The gemmy to translucent Dioptase crystals are oriented randomly so they scintillate with any incident light and glow with bright green internal reflections. There must be nearly 100 crystals in this central area that just glisten and their sumptuous green contrasts well with the white anhedral Calcite on either side. Dioptase on Calcite is a highly desirable combination from Tsumeb. This is a highly representative example of the species and renowned locale, and the Dioptase crystals are really far above average in gemminess and color!
