Dioptase on Conichalcite ex Sussman

Beautiful, deep green crust of mm-size Dioptase crystals, on matrix of what seems to be conichalcite (not analyzed here but sold us as Conichalcite by a collector, Marshall Sussman, in 2017, per verbal confirmation in a lab in Tucson). The luster on these crystals is so good, and the color so rich, that this really looks like a piece of glimmering art glass with the sparkly micros atop, contrasting to the matte olive green underneath and showing a mix of color as a result...A really scintillating and aesthetic piece that is much better in person, where you can greatly appreciate the sparkle and the richness. I cannot say that I have seen another specimen quite like it. It is fairly unique. Whether conichalcite, or maybe only duftite underneath (possible, as we have not analysed ourselves), the color contrast is striking.
