Emerald (superb color - rare locality)

Most people associate fine Emerald gems with Colombia, but occasionally we will get a small amount of Emeralds from the Panjshir area in Afghanistan, which are every bit as fine as the best stones you'll find from Colombia. This gem has a fantastic saturated green hue, with some slight inclusions, and a "Narrow Emerald" cut. Emerald is classified as a type-3 gemstone which means that inclusions in the stones are acceptable in the trade for collectors and dealers. With that said, it is very difficult to find a "clean" Emerald that is over one carat in weight. Please note that Emeralds are notoriously difficult to photograph, and this gem looks BETTER in person to be sure.
