Item Description

A classic 40+ year old small cab inet sized specimen from the famous Aghbar Mine featuring sharp, lustrous, bladed, purple-red color Erythrite crystals measuring up to 1.1 cm on matrix. Minor bruising can be seen here and there, but the size of the crystals is larger than most you'll see from the locality. It should be noted that Erythrite would not be a well known species with out the amazing pieces from Morocco. Price at $950 in the inventory. From the collection of Robert (Bob) Reynolds. Bob was a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of Earth Sciences at the San Bernardino County Museum in California. The rare phyllomanganate-chromate species Reynoldsite was named in his honor in 2011.
