Item Description
A superb, RARE, extremely elegant and pristine small cabinet faden quartz from the Ron Coleman Mine, from the collection of the owner. This striking beauty includes both prismatic and tabular water-clear quartz crystals. The long vertical basal prisms enclose the faden or "string". The strikingly angled, 3.7 cm, parallel-growth, doubly terminated tabular crystals are a dramatic accent. Ron Coleman, owner of the well-known Arkansas quartz mine, assembled a personal collection of very interesting quartz singles and floaters over the years. I bought this collection over a decade ago and lost a few flats in the warehouse until recently. Faden quartz specimens are rare from the numerous quartz mines of the Hot Springs area and this is an exceptional example. Valued at $1000 for unique quality and aesthetics.
