Item Description

Fantasy large layered two-generation gypsum from Australia. Three stunning layers of a jackstraw myriad of gem, colorless to orange gypsum needles dramatically support thin crusts of sparkly microcrystalline burnt-orange gypsum. Striking and beautiful. This specimen may actually be from Pernatty Lagoon, Mt Gunson, South Australia , though the original label with it said otherwise. See: https://www.mindat.org/loc-155519.html. Regardless, a surreal unique looking large two-generation gypsum from Australia. Very light weight and fragile at 38 grams mass.
