Item Description

Fayalite is an uncommon member of the Olivine group, and has been found in many places on Earth, and even on the Moon! This two specimen set features one small cabinet and one thumbnail sized piece of Fayalite featuring blocky and prismatic, dark brown crystals sitting on massive Fayalite matrix. These are HARD to find from Franklin, and certainly worth picking up for your collection if you're looking to a check a box in a species suite. The pieces are accompanied by a label from noted Franklin mineral dealers Ewald and Helen Gerstmann, and were labeled as being "Roepperite" originally, which is now a discredited species.
