Item Description

Outstanding very sculptural floater sharply crystallized copper with a fine patina from a NEW FIND at this active open pit copper mine. Both sides of the artistic piece have a striking backbone of spinel-twins , that are flanked by dramatic herringbone spinel-twins. The protruding large tetrahexahedral and spinel-twinned crystals on one side really add pizzazz and character to this exceptional cutie. It resembles classic crystallized coppers from Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula! Most specimens from the 2017 find had an arborescent shape, so these new pieces are dramatically different and exciting.
