Item Description

Impressive, large, sharp apatite crystals are uncommon from this classic and well-known Russian locale. The terminated textbook hexagonal crystal has very high glassy lustre, striking transparent to translucent areas and beautiful variable teal-blue to teal-green color saturation. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only trivial bruising or contact near the termination. It is LARGE at 377 grams! The striking glassiness, variable intense color saturation, interesting melted look and/or etching, plus the embedded bit of limestone add much character to this fascinating apatite specimen. It is old material - we do not see a lot of this today. MUCH better in person. Valued $1000-1500
