Item Description

A classic example of the famous Fluorapatite crystals from Pansqueira, which is one of the premier localities for the species. This specimen hosts a pair of sharp, lustrous, translucent, thick tabular crystals of silvery-blue colored Fluorapatite free of matrix. What makes this piece special is that if you look closely in the lower left corner, you can see some thin acicular crystals of Tourmaline which are included inside of the Apatites, a rarity not only from Panasqueira, but anywhere. The piece is in very good shape, with no major damage, save the base where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. I have a personal affinity for these specimens, as I think they are some of the most distinctive and unique examples of the species ever found. Priced at $1,200 in the inventory.
