Fluorapophyllite-(K) - USA classic!

Really interesting zeolite combination specimen from the well-known Prospect Park Quarry in New Jersey, and among the best of species for a USA location: The main crystals are two white and euhedral Fluorapophyllites up to 1.8 cm. There is another generation of gemmier, smaller Fluorapophyllite crystals that have a slight green tint and have a less-modified habit than the larger crystals. These are 1 cm in size. Rounding out the zeolite suite are smaller, tan-colored, bowtie-shaped Stilbite crystals that have a good, pearly luster. These provide a wonderful contrast and complement to the Fluorapophyllites. All are on a plate of mm-size Quartz crystals. This is an excellent and balanced specimen from Prospect Park, with high mineral interest and quality crystals. Superb miniature!
