Fluorite (color change - 2017 find)

An attractive specimen for any Fluorite collectors from a find in early 2017. We were fortunate the have the chance to purchase a small parcel of these exciting Fluorite specimens from a good friend in Pakistan. Our course (along with a few other dealers in the area) have confirmed that these attractive and interesting pieces are coming from Baluchistan, which is probably best known for it's beautiful "Alpine-type" Brookite and Anatase specimens. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of these Fluorites is the interesting colors and combinations, as we've seen blues and purples with smoky hues, pinks and colorless as well. This attractive small cabinet display specimen is composed of many sharp, translucent, well-formed cubes which are mostly colorless on the exterior, but show a gorgeous blue color in sunlight that changes to a purple color in indoor lighting. The Fluorite crystals have a beautiful very "stepped" appearance, giving the piece character and great visual appeal. Superb condition on the front / display side, but the back is contacted where the piece was removed from the pocket.
