Item Description

Several excellent, sharp, gemmy, intense green colored Fluorite crystals measuring up to 5 mm across are associated with black Schorl Tourmaline and sitting atop soft beige colored tabular crystals of Muscovite Mica from the Erongo Mountains. Most of the Fluorites are completely pristine, and look beautiful when backlit. These crystals show cube, octahedral and dodecahedral faces, but there are some additional small modifying faces that could possibly be hexoctahedron, tetrahexahedron or trapezohedron. No major damage and VERY fun to view with a loupe or under the microscope. I love the fact that the color is so strong in these Fluorites, as crystals of this size are typically pale regardless of color or locality. From the Collection of Shields Flynn.
