Item Description

Wolsendorf Fluorites are beloved in Bavaria for their wide range of colors and excellent crystallization. This specimen features many good quality, sharp, gemmy cubes featuring a purple hue on the exterior that transitions into golden, peach and pinkish tones internally. With backlighting, one can see slight "phantom" zoning lines with alternating bands of color. The largest Fluorite measures 1.5 cm. There are some rough spots, so the piece is not 100% pristine, but most crystals are in excellent shape. A showy and aesthetic example of these wonderful old Fluorite specimens. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1099). Kay was a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics. She nearly lived 100 years from April 1920 - March 2020.
