Item Description

A beautiful thumbnail sized Fluorite specimen from the Les Rocs Quarry in the northwest corner of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Province of central France. Typically the Fluorites from the locality are either purple or golden n color, but this one is a rare and desirable pale blue shade and fine quality to boot. The crystals (which appear to be a penetration twin) are not only very gemmy, but if you look closely you can see attractive "phantom" color zoning, giving the piece an added layer of character. There are some rough spots, so the piece isn't completely undamaged, but it's still very attractive in person and is a wonderful specimen from this fairly well-known (at least locally) quarry.
