Item Description

Fluorite specimens from the Silver Creek Area are rare on the market, especially with crystals this size. Typically we're used to seeing purplish colored octahedral crystals from this area (specifically the Skinner Lode), but big green crystals are incredibly hard to find. This small cabinet specimen features gemmy green octahedra of Fluorite measuring up to a full 6.1 cm across free of matrix. The top / display side of the specimen is undamaged (save one corner that was cleaved and is partially re-crystallized), and it's actually in good shape on the underside, with no real damage, but rather some hydrothermal etching and some separation marks where it was once intergrown with additional Fluorite crystals. A very attractive and important Fluorite from Arizona. A must have for any Fluorite collector or a fan of Arizona minerals. Priced at $1,200 in the inventory.
