The Okorusu Mine is undoubtedly among the most impressive operating localities in the world in terms of production of crystallized Fluorite. This mine has nearly produced every color of Fluorite known - including colorless and black - which when combined with superb quality of the crystals makes for some truly impressive specimens. This piece is from a discovery dating back a couple years and features a few superb, sharp, gemmy, multicolor cubic crystals measuring up to 1.7 cm on edge and free of matrix. When backlit, one can see beautiful purple, blue and green hues in the main crystal at the top, which are accentuated by the distinct "phantom" zoning lines. The piece is crystallized all the way around, and I can't see any major damage, only a few minor imperfections. A showy and choice piece of this wonderful material that would make a fantastic addition to any collection. Valued at $500 in the inventory.
