A stunning, 5.0 x 5.0 x 5.0 cm, rich mint-green, translucent fluorite octahedron is dramatically set on the sculptural large quartz point matrix. The octo has fantastic dense shimmering satin lustre stepped-growth faces, that resemble a Mayan stepped pyramid! The pinacoidal termination at the top really adds pizzazz. The main upper portion of this striking 360-degree octo is pristine, with the bit of noted basal periphery wear certainly being only a modest detraction. Densely stepped-growth matrix fluorite octahedrons of this style are RARE from here and this is a really good one. Purple fluorescence. These came out in the 2000s, with none since. Valued at $900.
