This is a representative specimen of the earliest style of fluorite material to come out in the 1990s from the now-famous Shangbao Mine in Hunan, China. It is a 1.1 kilo matrix plate with sharp cubic GEM crystals to 1.7 cm on edge. They have a particularly unusual glass-like clarity to them, with faint purple phantoms within. While not as impressive as the larger crystals that came out in later years, this style always remains appealing, for the simple sharp beauty of the crystals, which are so clean and pure that you can look through most of them right down to the matrix underneath. The large crystal has a small internal fracture which may look like damage in the photo, but in fact it is complete and sharp. I suggest seeing the video to better understand the "sparkle" here.
